Vilanova i la Geltrú was home, last week, for the 1st Congress of Gastronomic Marketing in Catalonia. Joan Anton Romer, founder of Glass Canned Wines, did a talk about our products and the importance of a good and adequate marketing plan for a product completely new in the Spanish market.

The cogress had partipation of Ametller Origen, Estrella Damm, HORECA, Cudié, Gallina Blanca, Novell or Caprabo, amongst others.

Many brands bet for defending bio and recyclable packagings showing respect for the natural environement and in general an emphasis was given to the importance of helping the climate change and how those can affect the cost and the public acceptance.

Glass Canned Wines spoke about the strategy taken as a start-up and how a new product can fit the current market.

Joan Anton mentioned the importance to give new options to the consummer when purchasing wine and how those can be beneficial in different situations, and also the different advantages of using can versus a glass bottle.
